The Mandalorian Behind-The-Scenes Show Will Premiere On Star Wars Day

It might have started with a terrible pun, but May 4 is now one of the biggest dates on any Star Wars fans’ calendar. This year’s Star Wars Day will be marked by the release of a new behind-the-scenes documentary series about the hit Disney+ show The Mandalorian.

Titled Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian, Episode 1 of the series will premiere on Disney+ worldwide on Monday, May 4. It’s an 8-part show, and subsequent episodes will be released on Friday each week. The series will be hosted by The Mandalorian’s showrunner Jon Favreau, and each episode will focus on a different aspect of the series using interviews and production footage.

In a statement, Favreau said, “Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian is an opportunity for fans of the show to take a look inside and get to see a different perspective, and perhaps a greater understanding of how The Mandalorian came together and some of the incredibly talented contributors throughout Season 1. We had a great experience making the show and we’re looking forward to sharing it with you.”
