Strictlys Les Dennis exit was sealed as star gave up in dance-off
Les Dennis announced as first Strictly contestant to leave
Les Dennis’ exit from Strictly Come Dancing was “sealed” after the comedian seemed to “give up” during Sunday’s dance-off, claims a body language expert.
This weekend marked the return of the Strictly Come Dancing results show and Les and his professional dance partner Nancy Xu were the first couple to be eliminated.
However, according to body language expert Darren Stanton, Les seemed “to give up” when faced against Nikita Kanda and Gorka Marquez in the dance-off.
Darren Stanton, who has spoken on behalf of Betfair, revealed that he could “see why the judges chose to send them home.”
He stated: “Les and Nancy gave it a good go, the dance wasn’t conveying anything amazing, and there weren’t any real moments of connection. I think Les knew he wasn’t going to win.”

Despite being bottom of the leaderboard after week one with their Tango to The Human League’s Don’t You Want Me, Darren suggested that “He showed enthusiasm in the first week, definitely.”
For his second dance, Les and Nancy performed a Samba to Rock the Boat by Hues Corporation.
They did better than their week one score of 15 as they received 16 points from the judges on the second live show. But it was not enough to move the couple up from last place.
That combined with viewers’ votes meant that Les and Nancy had not done enough to escape the dreaded dance off.

Darren gave his take on Les’ attitude in the latest episode of the hit BBC reality dance show.
“This week, it seemed he had given up a bit,” he affirmed.
“While Les flashed disappointment after landing in the dance-off, I think he was ready to say goodbye.”
It was a unanimous decision by all four judges, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton du Beke, and head judge Shirley Ballas, who all chose to save Nikita and Gorka instead of Les and Nancy.
Darren concluded: “He appeared slightly relieved as his name was called out, which indicates that he wasn’t too fussed over his departure.”
Les did thank his “great teacher” Nancy when chatting with co-host Tess Daly following his elimination. He said: “I hope I’ve entertained, that’s what I came here for. Strictly is the best and the people who put this on, you’re just all amazing!”
Next weekend, the remaining 14 couples will take to the iconic dancefloor as part of Strictly’s annual Movie Week special.
Viewers will need to tune in to see who rises to the occasion and who might be in danger of being sent home next.
Strictly Come Dancing airs Saturday and Sunday nights on BBC One.
