Knight family tree – Meet the new family on EastEnders
EastEnders boss discusses Vicky Michelle’s entrance on soap
Following the disappearance of Mick Carter (played by Danny Dyer), Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) is in need of a new business partner to help her run the Queen Victoria. While Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) and Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) have both expressed their interest in joining forces, Linda has been making mysterious phone calls to someone, asking for them to join her at the pub instead. It has now been revealed exactly who Linda is talking to as the Knight family will be welcomed to Albert Square in just a few months’ time.
Elaine Peacock – Harriet Thorpe
Linda has decided instead of going into business with any of her neighbours, she will instead run the Queen Vic with her mum Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe).
She has been running pubs for decades and now Linda wants her expertise and emotional support in running the iconic watering hole.
Elaine has popped up in the BBC soap on numerous occasions, portrayed by actress Maria Friedman.
But as she moves to the Square, Elaine will instead be played by actress Harriet Thorpe.
George Knight – Colin Salmon
Elaine won’t be alone when she arrives as she is joined by her new lover George Knight, played by actor Colin Salmon.
Fans will recognise him for starring in three James Bond films, Doctor Who, Prime Suspect, Merlin and Arrow.
George is described as a “charming rogue” and an “old school gent” but is also a tough-talker.
He is fiercely protective of his two daughters and is delighted to have them move away with him and Elaine.
Gina Knight – Francesca Henry
George’s eldest daughter is Gina, played by actress Francesca Henry who has been in A Discovery of Witches, Doctors and Silent Witness.
She is incredibly feisty, determined and demanding and can have a blazing temper if she doesn’t get her way.
Anna Knight – Molly Rainford
On the opposite side of the spectrum, Anna (Molly Rainford), who is loveable and big-hearted, however, don’t underestimate her as she can still be a force to be reckoned with.
Fans will recognise Anna as she is played by CBBC presenter Molly Rainford who competed in last year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
The family is also going to be bringing their beloved pet Chihuahua, Tyson to live with them in the Queen Vic.

Discussing their arrival, executive producer Chris Clenshaw said: “The arrival of the Knights brings a new dawn to Albert Square.
“George, Gina and Anna have been bound together for years and arriving in Walford is the fresh-start the Knights are looking for.
“We’re thrilled to welcome this hugely talented group of actors; Colin Salmon, Harriet Thorpe, Francesca Henry and Molly Rainford who will be immediately thrown into the heart of the Square, and we can’t wait for everyone to meet them.”
It’s going to be a little while before the Knight family is introduced with Linda still trying to put Sharon and Suki off from signing any contracts.
She is keeping them hanging on, just in case the plan falls through and her mum isn’t able to buy into the pub. How will they both react when they realise the Knight family is moving into the Queen Vic?
EastEnders continues four nights a week on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
