Joe Giudice has ‘not given up’ on his deportation appeal after emotional reunion with his four daughters in Italy

JOE Giudice has "not given up" on his deportation appeal after his emotional reunion with his four daughters and wife Teresa overseas.

The 47-year-old TV star was deported to his native Italy last month ahead of a final legal decision being made on whether he can remain living in the US.

Last week, his family paid a brief visit to the European country – and he was left devastated when he had to say goodbye.

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa said: "He said he cried after we left. He cried the whole day, he said. Missing his daughters. He was so sad."

And a source has now added to HollywoodLife: "Joe has definitely not given up his fight against the deportation order.

"Joe knows that some may view him moving to Italy as a sign of giving up, but that couldn’t be further from the truth.

"Seeing his girls this past week put a renewed effort in Joe and he was reminded of why he wants to continue this appeal process no matter how difficult or exhausting it may get at times.

"Joe is actually loving his time in Italy and it’s been great spending time with family and friends, but his world revolves around his girls and he will continue fighting to be as close to them as possible."

The star was born in Lombardy and though he emigrated to the US as a child he didn't ever obtain American citizenship – and when he and Teresa were both convicted of various counts of fraud in 2014 he became vulnerable to being deported.

The couple served back-to-back sentences in jail, allowing one of them to be home with their children, but after Joe completed his 36-month stint in prison he was transferred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention centre.

They eventually let him leave custody and return to Italy so that he didn't have to continue the fight from behind bars, with Teresa documenting their emotional family reunion on social media.

In one video, Joe was seen embracing his 10-year-old daughter Audriana as they danced together following a family party.

In addition to Audriana, Joe and Teresa – who married in 1999 – are mum and dad to Gia, 18, 15-year-old Gabriella, and Milania, 14.
