Everything you need to know about EastEnders newcomer, Waterloo Road star Heather Peace
Heather Peace – who many will recognise from her time as Nikki Boston in Waterloo Road – will be the latest star to join the cast of EastEnders in scenes that will air Friday 29 October.
She plays feisty ex-con Eve Unwin and shows up on Albert Square in suitably dramatic fashion after meeting Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) in prison.
Lacey returned to our screens on Monday 25 October with the news that she'd tied the knot again while in prison. With fans well aware of Eve's arrival, many believe she could be the one Stacey married. But, what do we know about the actress who plays her? Here's everything we know about Heather…
Although EastEnders is a pretty big gig, it's not Heather's first time on the small screen. She played series regular Sam Murray in the drama Lip Service between 2010 and 2012.
She then went on to star as Nikki Boston in BBC's Waterloo Road between 2012 and 2014.
In addition to acting, the 46-year-old is an accomplished musician. She's classically trained in piano which she began learning piano at the age of six and can also sing and play the guitar.
Heather has released several albums and singles – including a cover of Bette Midler's 'The Rose – and is still making music.

On joining EastEnders, Heather said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the cast of Eastenders and I love my character Eve. She’s tough, but fair; super bright and cheeky.

She is playing a fascinating character in Eve and her arrival in Albert Square will be sure to cause a whole lot of mayhem which we can’t wait to explore, particularly through her relationship with Stacey and the rest of the Slater clan.
