Does Justin Bieber Still Have a Close Relationship With Usher?

Justin Bieber‘s discovery was sort of groundbreaking due to the fact that he was one of the first major artists that were discovered on YouTube. R&B singer Usher was huge in Bieber getting his start and the two had a mentee-mentor relationship and have a well-documented friendship. Despite a lot of negative headlines surrounding Bieber’s personal life, are he and Usher still close?

Usher had a crucial part in Justin Bieber’s start in the industry

Usher was very instrumental in Bieber’s early career and a large part of Bieber’s success is due to him. Scooter Braun, who was then an alumnus of So So Def, found Bieber’s YouTube videos. Bieber, 13 at the time, went to Atlanta with Braun to record some demos and soon met Usher.

Bieber went to sign with Raymond Braun Music Group (RBMG), a joint venture between Braun and Usher, who was able to get Bieber an audition in front of L.A. Reid. Then, RBMG entered a deal with Island Records to release Bieber’s music. RBMG partly released all of Bieber’s albums up through 2012’s Purpose.

Usher recalled meeting Bieber for the first time in an interview on The Howard Stern Show. “I’d heard about Justin through the grapevine, because people were talking about him, and I said to him, ‘Why don’t you set up a meeting between me and your manager, I’d love to meet with you and do this in a formal setting, I’m late for an appointment with Jermaine Dupri and I don’t want to keep him waiting, so let’s do this the right way.’”

Bieber had some turbulent times

When Bieber was under fire for using the n-word and making racist jokes in the past, Usher addressed them in a post on Instagram in June 2014.

He wrote, “At my core, I am a person that supports growth and understands without judgment, that growth often comes as a result of pain and continues [sic] effort,” Usher wrote in a message that was accompanied by a photo of the two artists

Later, Usher had an interview with Billboard in October 2014 when Bieber was continuing to make headlines for all of the wrong reasons. He was asked about Bieber and talked about how he was feeling about things at the moment.

“Our relationship is more man-to-man now. He’s making his own decisions and it’s important to show support,” he said. “I can say I’m not happy with all the choices my friend has made, but I’m supportive of him. I try my hardest to give as much positive reinforcement as I can. I’ll punch him in the f***ing chest when I need to, and give him a hug and kiss when I need to. It’s more than just mentoring. I love the kid.”

What their relationship looks like today

While it seems like they could have possibly gone through a rough patch around this time due to Bieber’s antics, it is clear that the two have a very close relationship. Usher was present at Bieber’s recent wedding to Hailey Baldwin and earlier this month, the two appeared on Ellen together when Bieber performed and they also played a game.

Usher even talked about Bieber in an interview with Extra earlier this year too, saying, “I’ve seen him go through some very very complicated times. Always happy when he decides to come back to what it is that he loves and not falter in that.”

He also said that he admires Bieber for being able to “manage to make it back, to put out another album, and share yet another piece of his life.”

If anything, it seems like Usher will be around to give the teen start-turned-young adult sensation some tough love.

Rob Kardashian Might Have Just Dropped a Major Hint At His Return to 'KUWTK'

Rob Kardashian, the only son in the Kardashian family, has been missing from Keeping Up With the Kardashians for many seasons now. For a while, he was a fan favorite — and people have always wondered if (or when) he might return to the show. But the subtle use of the word “we” in Kardashian’s recent tweet might have been a major hint that he’s going to make a comeback.

Kardashian used to be one of the show’s main cast members

Back when KUWTK was first starting, Kardashian was one of the main cast members. He is Kris Jenner’s only son, so he quickly became the show’s heartthrob. Kardashian was also good friends with Kourtney Kardashian’s then-boyfriend, Scott Disick, and together, the two kept the show hilarious.

Somewhere down the line, Kardashian began to struggle with his weight, and he suddenly dropped out of the spotlight. Plus, his sock business had started to struggle. Since then, he’s never made another appearance on the show.

Kardashian has had his share of drama since leaving the show

Despite not filming with the family, Kardashian has still been in the news here and there — and he’s had his share of drama, too. Back in 2016, Kardashian started dating rapper Blac Chyna, who happened to be Tyga’s ex (at the time Kardashian and Chyna started dating, Tyga was dating Kardashian’s sister, Kylie Jenner). The two announced their engagement after three months, which drew major criticism from Kardashian’s sisters and became a talking point on the show.

Kardashian and Chyna now share a daughter, Dream, together, but their relationship didn’t last. When the two got into a blowup fight, Kardashian posted explicit photos and videos of his ex to his Instagram stories; he was subsequently banned from Instagram forever.

He just used ‘we’ in a tweet — and fans think he could be making a comeback

Though Kardashian hasn’t appeared on the show in several years, he might have just hinted at his possible return. Kardashian live tweeted during the season 18 premiere on March 26; one tweet read, “My sisters forgot we were filming #KUWTK and thought it was bad girls club,” and fans took the use of “we” as a strong sign that Kardashian could be returning.

“We?” someone replied. “[I] was wondering who was gonna say it,” a user wrote in response. “I’m wondering if he’s back now,” someone else added. A lot of people, though, didn’t seem to question the interesting use of the pronoun. But it’s possible that he was on location for some of the filming, which might eventually lead to an appearance in front of the camera.

Kardashian has always remained close with his sisters

Despite that Kardashian isn’t filmed, he still remains closewith his sisters behind the scenes. He’s always had agood relationship with all of them. And at the very least, the use of theword “we” could mean that Kardashian occasionally hangs around during filmingand just chooses not to be on television.

Though it’s unclear if Kardashian will ever make anotherappearance on the show, some users are convinced that the tweet was hinting ata resurgence. And if that’s the case, we’re totally rooting for it.

How To Have A Zoom Trivia Night With Your Most Competitive Friends

Even if you’d never used the video software Zoom before March, it’s pretty likely that you’ve heard of it by now. Social distancing efforts and statewide stay-at-home orders have inspired the rise of virtual hangouts, with friends using Zoom for everything from work meetings to trivia night. The silver lining is that this might just be the best trivia night you ever have, since you don’t have to leave your bed to win the prize.

The first thing that every trivia night needs is a host. Assign someone in your group to be the host, and to make up questions for trivia. This host should also have administrator privileges in the Zoom video chat, so that they can be in charge of breakout rooms. You’ll need to establish, as a group, what the parameters of the trivia night are: how long groups have to debate answers in their breakout rooms, for example, and how many rounds of trivia you want to move through.

And since this trivia night is virtual, you’ll probably want everyone to swear that they aren’t using their phones. It’s much harder to enforce this over a screen than it is in a bar, so you might just have to trust in your fellow teammates and adversaries and take their word for it.

One of the hardest parts of any trivia night is coming up with the right questions to ask — ones that are hard enough to make people think, but not so hard that anyone gives up. Luckily, there are tons of resources online to help your trivia host come up with entertaining questions. All you have to do is search something like "trivia questions" on Google, and you’ll find countless links providing you with topic ideas and specific questions to stump your pals.

Here are five examples of questions you can ask for a "pop culture" category:

  • Who is Kris Jenner’s oldest grandchild?
  • Is Tom Hanks in his 50s, 60s, or 70s?
  • Who is commonly referred to as "The King of Pop?"
  • What is the name of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s child?
  • Where is Disneyland Park located in the United States?

In terms of how much time you want to give teams to come up with an answer, it’s up to you, though it’s likely that 15-45 seconds of deliberation time will be enough. It’s also your choice, regarding how many trivia rounds you want to have, or how many questions you want to ask in each round. It might be helpful to write out as many questions as you can think of, and go from there. Lastly, you’ll have to decide if you want to keep score or just have a friendly game. Up to you!

If your scheduled Zoom trivia nights don’t fully satiate your thirst for social interaction, you could always create a Zoom book club with friends, or join in on one of the many national book clubs taking place virtually.

Jax and Brittany Have an Unusual Way of Stopping Quarantine Weight Gain

Quarantine 15? No thank you! Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are taking some extreme (and funny) measures to ensure they don’t gain any weight while stuck in quarantine amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

On Wednesday, March 25, Taylor, 40, took to Twitter and his Instagram Stories to show off the drastic steps he and Cartwright, 31, have taken to make sure they stay trim and fit while holed up inside. While walking around his California home, the Vanderpump Rules star ventured over from the living room to the kitchen and focused his phone on a scale that had been placed on the floor directly in front of the fridge.

Though the SUR bartender conducted his brief home tour without offering any comments, he did share the clip on Twitter with an emoji — “😂” — indicating he knows the move is LOL-worthy.

Additionally, many of Taylor’s social media followers supported the idea. “I need the scale in front of my snack cabinet,” one Twitter user declared. Added another: “Love the scale in front of the fridge! I’m stealing that idea.”

Since the newlyweds began their quarantine earlier this month, they have been showing off various meals and snacks they’ve been enjoying while at home. On March 11, Taylor tweeted: “Just stocked up on [Cadbury] cream eggs so I dare that virus to at me.” He also said that the California home he shares with Cartwright is now “basically a Costco.”

Speaking of the Kentucky native, she whipped up her twice-baked macaroni — Taylor’s “favorite” — on March 14 and enjoyed some grub from Hooters on Tuesday, March 24.

Aside from attempting to control their eating habits, the couple are also working out whenever they can. On Wednesday, Cartwright made use of a treadmill inside her home. “Time for a run and Good Girls,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories alongside a video clip of herself jogging while watching the NBC drama.

For his part, Taylor showed off some of his favorite exercises in an Instagram post from late last month. “I’m going to show you a couple of quick exercises that you can do in your backyard if you don’t have time to go to the gym,” the Michigan native said at the time, noting that he’s a fan of mountain climbers, kettle bells and jumping jacks.

Two Tesla Employees Have Tested Positive For COVID-19

Two Tesla employees have tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, according to an email sent to employees on Thursday morning.

The note, sent by Tesla’s vice president of environmental and safety department Laurie Shelby, did not disclose the locations of the workers or their job types, but noted that both had been working from home for “nearly two weeks” and had not shown any symptoms while in the office. This marks the first time Tesla, which employs nearly 50,000 people, has disclosed that some of its employees have tested positive for the disease caused by the novel coronavirus.

Thursday’s disclosure comes after Tesla CEO Elon Musk has repeatedly downplayed the public response to the pandemic and spread misinformation about the virality of the coronavirus. Earlier this month, in an email encouraging employees at his rocket manufacturing company SpaceX to continue to come to work, Musk wrote that they were more likely to die from a car accident than from the coronavirus. SpaceX’s offices, which remain open, reported their first two confirmed cases of COVID-19 to employees earlier this week.

A Tesla spokesperson did not immediately return a request for comment.

“Their direct coworkers, who were already working from home for nearly two weeks as well, were immediately notified so they can quarantine and watch for symptoms,” read the email, which was sent Thursday morning. “In both cases interactions with the individuals had a low likelihood of transmission based on the minimal staff onsite and social distancing measures we took earlier this month.”

Not all Tesla workers received the email. One person who works at Tesla’s factory in Fremont, California, the company’s main automobile manufacturing hub in the United States, said they did not receive any notification from management. That factory stopped producing cars at the end of day on Monday, after local authorities deemed Tesla a nonessential business following a protracted back-and-forth in which the company tried to keep its manufacturing site open despite a county-wide ordinance to “shelter in place.”

“As we have said before, please do not feel obligated to come to work if you are uncomfortable, even if you are in essential operations,” Shelby’s wrote in the email.

This week, Musk appears to have taken the threat of the coronavirus and its societal impact more seriously. He promised that he would shift operations at Tesla and SpaceX facilities to help produce breathing apparatuses needed for ill patients and delivered more than 1,200 ventilators sourced from China for US hospitals on Tuesday.

William and Kate have 'considerable responsibility to boost morale'

Prince William and Kate Middleton have a ‘considerable responsibility’ to boost morale during coronavirus crisis while Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are likely to be ‘sidelined’ due to being abroad, royal expert claims

  • Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams says Cambridges can provide a boost
  • Added the royal couple are ‘certain to rise to the challenge of boosting morale’
  • Claimed Duke and Duchess of Sussex will ‘undoubtedly contribute’ on Instagram during coronavirus crisis but are likely to be sidelined as they chose to be abroad
  • Coronavirus symptoms: what are they and should you see a doctor?

Prince William and Kate Middleton have a ‘considerable responsibility’ to boost morale among the British people during the coronavirus crisis, a royal expert has claimed.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who have relocated with their children to their home in Norfolk, recently visited NHS 111 to thank staff for their help.

Prince William was also the first member of The Firm to speak to the nation during the crisis in a video released last week.

Yesterday it emerged Prince Charles, 71, has tested positive for Covid-19 and is self-isolating at Balmoral, while the Queen, 93, and Prince Philip, 98, are currently in isolation in Windsor.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said a ‘very considerable responsibility rests on the Cambridges at this difficult time.

He told Express.co.uk: ‘Their movements are obviously followed avidly by the press and social media and they are certain to rise to the challenge of boosting morale, whilst complying with the behaviour recommended by the Government.’

Mr Fitzwilliams added that the couple will ‘undoubtedly’ send messages which will reach a huge audience through their eleven million followers on Instagram and get thoughts and ideas across during the unprecedented emergency that we all face.

He said the Cambridges’ visit to NHS staff was ‘undoubtedly a morale booster’ and the unseen photos of Prince George and Princess Charlotte that they shared on Mother’s Day were ‘enchanting’.

Mr Fitzwilliams claimed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are currently in isolation together in Canada with their son Archie, will ‘undoubtedly’ continue to contribute on Instagram.

However, he added: ‘During this crisis… as they have chosen to be abroad, they are likely to be sidelined.’

Earlier this week an expert claimed Prince William is set to ‘step up into statesman role’ during the coronavirus crisis and will lead the Royal Family’s efforts to support the nation.

Mr Fitzwilliams claimed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are currently in isolation together in Canada with their son Archie, will ‘ undoubtedly’ continue to contribute on Instagram but are likely to be ‘sidelined’ as a result of their decision to be abroad

Speaking to Australian website 9Honey, Katie Nicholl said the move was ‘significant’, adding that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were the ‘best placed’ members of the royal family to be ‘pillars of support’ for the nation at the moment.

She revealed: ‘We’re seeing William step up in that statesman role. It strikes me as interesting that the first member of the royal family to address the nation has been William.’

Katie said the decision would have been ‘cleared by Buckingham Palace’ before Prince William’s video was released.

The expert explained that the Queen, 93, ‘needs’ to be ‘pretty much in quarantine’ in Windsor due to her age.

Yesterday it emerged Prince Charles, 71, has tested positive for Covid-19 and is self-isolating at Balmoral, while the Queen, 93, and Prince Philip, 98, are currently in isolation in Windsor. Buckingham Palace has insisted the Queen is in ‘good health’, after her eldest son and heir was diagnosed with coronavirus.

It is understood the Prince of Wales met his mother at Buckingham Palace on March 12 – less than two weeks ago. The virus has an estimated incubation period of one to 14 days.

Charles’s doctor is convinced that he would have been contagious from March 13 at the very earliest, based on when the prince first started to develop symptoms at the weekend.

Yesterday the Palace released a picture of the Queen undertaking her weekly audience with the Prime Minister by telephone from Windsor Castle

The Duchess of Cornwall has tested negative but is now isolated from her husband at Birkhall, their Scottish retreat where both are staying.

Yesterday the Palace released a picture of the Queen undertaking her weekly audience with the Prime Minister by telephone from Windsor Castle.

It shows her wearing a blue blouse and cardigan, surrounded by china corgis and racing trophies, and speaking on a 1970s-style white telephone.
