How Are Celebrity Dating Rumors Still Happening Amid All This?

Life is at a standstill, and yet the celebrity romance rumor mill still, somehow, finds a way to churn. While many in America are now on their third week of social isolation, the gossip columns are still somehow full of news of the latest celebrity hookups.

Everyone from Ben Affleck to Demi Lovato and Ariana Grande have found new flames. Other celebrities, ranging from Rihanna to Bachelorette cast-offs have discovered ways to broadcast their supposed flirtations to the world. Even celebrities whose relationships were very public before the coronavirus pandemic are providing digital tabloid fodder: Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello’s daily walks have become a ritual.

Meanwhile, normal people are slowly beginning to seriously figure out what the “Zoom date” hype is about.

Ben Affleck’s new relationship with actress Ana de Armas has publicly blossomed amid *waves hands* all of this. Earlier this month, the couple was spotted in de Armas’s native Cuba before jet-setting for a quick vacation in Costa Rica. They’ve finally returned stateside, but had been seen on numerous walks together. They essentially confirmed the nature of their relationship as romantic by sharing some PDA. Sure, they were six feet apart from everyone else (including the paparazzo), but who can even imagine PDA at a time list this? Though, the pair’s relationship may be a few months in the making. In December, the 31-year-old actress and 47-year-old actor wrapped filming on Deep Water, in which they play a married couple.

Meanwhile, Demi Lovato has apparently rediscovered a resource we had forgotten this country still produced: hot soap opera actors. When former Young & Restless star Max Ehrlich posted a thirst trap on Instagram with the caption, “When u realize u should’ve packed more for your quarantine stay.” Lovato commented, “Fine by me.” Tabloids quickly confirmed the pair are a relatively new item and they were spotted buying groceries.

when u realize u should’ve packed more for your quarantine stay 😅🤦‍♂️ have a blessed Monday filled with health, happiness, safety, joy, love, & laughter <3

Ariana Grande, meanwhile, has apparently been dating a real estate agent named Dalton Gomez for a few weeks, which we’ve all just now found out about. Nina Dobrev seems to have something going on with snowboarder Shaun White. Former Bachelorette contestant (and Gigi Hadid ex) Tyler Cameron has spent the past few weeks less-than-subtlety hinting that he’s re-sparked something with co-star Hannah Brown.

Meanwhile, Rihanna and Drake interacted in the comments of an IG Live stream, which some have gone ahead and described as “flirty.”

Cabello and Mendes have retreated to Miami (where Cabello grew up) and in addition to live streams, and trading Spanish and guitar lessons, are now going for a walk with coffee mugs every day—this activity is dutifully snapped by the paparazzi.

Why is all of this still happening? In some cases, celebs who may have been casually seeing someone before the coronavirus decided to throw caution to the wind and speed up the seriousness. In other cases, perhaps it’s because people sitting at home with good gossip have nothing to do, and just decide to leak information. In other cases, this might be the most nefarious of PR strategies: getting cheap attention when the regular entertainment news cycle has grown to a hilt. Still in others, we might just be desperate enough to blow up any crumb of a romance rumor into a weeks-long news cycle.

Should you be washing fruits and vegetables with soapy water now?

@bradfalchuk and I were grateful to learn our local farmers market was open this morning; we walked there (keeping lots of distance) and donned masks and gloves once we got nearer to the market, only taking them off when we were almost home and there were no other pedestrians in close proximity. Yesterday I heard tales of crowded hiking trails and parks. Although we are all on a learning curve and aren’t always perfect as we figure out this temporary new normal, we must take the orders seriously and not abuse the freedoms we still have; grocery store and essential errand runs, bike rides or walks (being disciplined about correct protocol). It’s not the time for denial. We must take this seriously and shelter in place. It’s time for nesting, reading, cleaning out closets, doing something you’ve always wanted to do (write a book, learn an instrument or a language or learn to code online, draw or paint) going through photos, cooking, and reconnecting on a deeper level with the people you love. I find hope in the generosity, love, protection and care I see and feel through out our country everyday and my heart goes out to everyone directly affected or simply in fear. We will get through and I bet you our humanity will shine like never before ❤️

Many of us have seen a change in our routine habits due to the global pandemic. Given how highly contagious this sucker is, it seems like no precaution should be spared. However, the one thing we’ve had hammered into us by now is that the best way to stop the spread is by washing our hands with warm water and soap and not to touch our faces (or anyone else’s). So the next logical question is: should we be washing everything else too? Like, should we douse our mother in law with a bucket of tepid, sudsy water when she comes out of her room? I’d vote for yes, but not for medical reasons. But what about food, specifically the fresh produce we receive from the grocery store that has been exposed to everyone and handled by many? According to disease experts, it won’t hurt.

Many people are finding themselves cooking all their meals at home—but even with that comes some theoretical risk.

Minimizing trips and going to the store during off hours (early in the morning or late at night) is the best way to reduce your risk, but experts say there are further precautionary measures you can take. “I would wear gloves — rubber gloves, leather, any kind, and be sure you wash your hands when you come home,” Dr. William Haseltine, infectious disease expert and Chair and President of ACCESS Health International, tells PEOPLE.

Once you do have groceries, there’s the question of how to handle them. In a recent interview with the Daily Mail, associate professor at the University of Sydney Timothy Newsome recommended washing fresh produce “with warm soapy water, just as you do your hands.”

But is this really necessary, and is it safe in itself? “Using soap has never really been recommended for fresh produce before, and our recommendation has still been to use water and rinse,” Francisco Diez-Gonzalez, director of Center for Food Safety at the University of Georgia, tells PEOPLE. “But if people want to do it, it’s innocuous. I don’t have any evidence that it will for sure reduce risk of the virus because we don’t have the research.”

Dr. Haseltine adds that washing with soap “can help” minimize risk, but questions the practicality of it in many circumstances. “I wouldn’t wash your lettuce with soapy water,” he says, “but something like a potato or an apple or a plum you can wash, the outside of a mango you can wash.”

Both Diez-Gonzalez and Haseltine acknowledge that the safest way to ensure food safety is heat and cooking. “Your best friend when it comes to any pathogens or organisms is cooking,” says Diez-Gonzalez. “If you’re really concerned about not being exposed to any source, just eat cooked vegetables.”

[From People]

The article goes on to say that most of the information they have indicates that the true risks come from human to human contact and they just don’t have the data to prove that contact with food is a danger. But Dr. Halstine also said, although the risk from food is really low, it’s not zero. So if it makes you feel better to wash your apple in soap and water, do it. I have a soft bristled scrubber I reserve for fruit and vegetables. But, prior, I wouldn’t bother with something like an orange because I remove the peel. Now, I give everything a little scrub. I do, however, lean heavily on cooking the germs out of everything. (I pretend I can hear the CV-19 germs screaming as they die.) I’m relying on Instacart and Amazon Fresh for food and I give everything a wipe when I take it out of the bags (which adds about 30 minutes on to putting things away, but oh well). I just realized, though, I don’t do the same thing with Amazon or other non-food related store deliveries. I guess I should rethink that. I do wash my hands any time I reenter my house, even if I’d just gone to the garage. And randomly throughout the day. My hands haven’t been this clean since I was bartending.

Do what you must. It’s smart to give common surfaces a wipe with a clean cloth with something on it. I keep a spray bottle of vinegar and water to spritz around the house. I know it’s probably not killing what it needs to but no one is defying orders around here. Honestly, I tell myself any housework I am doing lowers our chances of spreading the disease. Intellectually, I know it does not, but it’s the only way I can talk myself into cleaning my house.

These are all old photos, btw

Little Mix’s "Break Up Song" Lyrics Will Make You Feel Like A Single Queen

After Little Mix dropped LM5 in 2018, fans have been eagerly waiting for the British girl group to release more music. Mixers loved how their fifth studio album put the spotlight on women’s rights, and hoped Little Mix’s next record would be just as powerful. There’s no set date when LM6 will arrive, but judging from Little Mix’s "Break Up Song" lyrics, the album will be the group’s most experimental project to date.

Ahead of the song’s release on March 27, Little Mix hinted new music was coming in their "Wasabi" music video. Fans found it interesting the group released the music video two years after the song dropped on LM5, and wondered why LM only just shared it now. At the end of the video, fans got their answer. Before the clip faded to black, a message appeared on the screen that read: "New Era Pending." Fans took it as a sign a new single was on the way, and they were right.

"Break Up" song is an anthem for all the single people in the world. The lyrics send a message that you won’t stand for anything less than someone who will treat you right. The ’80s vibe will make you feel nostalgic and have you wondering whether LM6 will include a similar sound.

Little Mix have given fans another self-love anthem, check out the lyrics below.

Verse 1: Leigh-Anne Pinnock

This is not a second chance, no, no, baby

This is not a new romance, not tonight (Oh-oh-oh)

This is for all the nights I cried for you, baby

Hoping you could be the one that could love me right

Pre-Chorus: Jesy Nelson

I’ll be good all by myself

Yeah, I’ll find a way to dance without you

In the middle of the crowd

I’ll forget all of the pain inside, oh-oh-ooh

Chorus: All

So tonight, I’ll sing another, another break-up song

So turn it up, let it play on, and on, and on, and on

For all of the times they screwed us over

Let it play on, and on, and on

Just another break-up song

Post-Chorus: Perrie Edwards

Ain’t no more tears (Oh-oh)

Ain’t gonna cry (Oh-oh)

Boy, I’ll do anything to get you off my mind

I’m gonna dance (Oh-oh)

Under the lights (Oh-oh)

Boy, I’ll do anything to get you off my mind

Verse 2: Perrie Edwards

I ain’t even gonna call ya, no, baby

The best thing I ever did was to let you go (Oh-oh-oh)

Did you think you were the only one who could save me?

I ain’t gonna take you back like I did before (No, oh-woah-oh)

Pre-Chorus: Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock

I’ll be good all by myself

Yeah, I’ll find a way to dance without you (Dance without you)

In the middle of the crowd

I’ll forget all of the pain inside, oh-oh-ooh

Chorus: All

So tonight, I’ll sing another, another break-up song (Break up song)

So turn it up, let it play on, and on, and on, and on (On and on)

For all of the times they screwed us over

Let it play on, and on, and on

Just another break-up song

Post-Chorus: All

Ain’t no more tears (Oh-oh)

Ain’t gonna cry (Oh-oh) (Ooh-ooh-ooh)

Boy, I’ll do anything to get you off my mind

I’m gonna dance (I’m gonna dance)

Under the lights (Under the lights)

Boy, I’ll do anything to get you off my mind

Bridge: Jade Thirlwall and Jesy Nelson

I don’t wanna turn back time

‘Cause what’s another lonely night?

I know under these lights, I’m good without you

(I’m good, I’m good, I’m good)

For all those tears that I cried

I sing it louder tonight

Let it play on, and on, and runnin’ on and on, oh-woah-oh-oh

Chorus: All

So tonight, I’ll sing another (Ooh-ooh-ooh)

Another break-up song (Break up song, babe)

So turn it up, let it play on, and on, and on, and on (Oh, yeah, yeah)

For all of the times they screwed us over

(All the times they screwed us over)

Let it play on, and on, and on (And on, and on)

Just another break-up song

Outro: All

I don’t wanna turn back time (Oh-oh)

‘Cause what’s another lonely night?

Lonely night, baby

I know under these lights, I’m good without you

I’m good, I’m good, I’m good

For all those tears that I cried (Oh-oh)

I sing it louder tonight

Let it play on, and on, and on

Just another break-up song

Dylan Sprouse’s Quotes About Quarantining With Barbara Palvin Are Relatable AF — EXCLUSIVE

While the coronavirus pandemic is taking away some of the simple pleasures in life, like hitting up happy hour or going out to eat, there’s some comfort in knowing everyone is in this together. Even your favorite stars are bored in their houses right now. Take Dylan Sprouse, whose quotes about quarantining with Barbara Palvin are the definition of relatable.

"Everything has been all right here," Dylan Sprouse tells Elite Daily from his home in New York City. "We’ve been playing a lot of video games, watching a lot of television and film, and just enjoying the time together, actually."

Sprouse seems to be staying pretty positive about the situation, calling social distancing with his girlfriend Palvin "nice, because normally we’re flying all over the place." The actor and model began dating in June of 2018, and the two have been the stuff of #relationshipgoals ever since. Between their busy careers, it makes sense quality time would be hard to come by. So with filming productions and events canceled, now they’ve got nothing but time.

So, what sort of stuff are Sprouse and Palvin getting into? Turns out, it’s a lot of Nintendo. "Animal Crossing is a game that everyone is playing right now because of quarantine. That’s just, like, one of my favorite games in the world," Sprouse says.

The game has even inspired him to conduct some research. "[I] love animal biology … Animal Crossing taught me about a new fish I never heard about before called the ‘barreleye,’ which apparently has a translucent skull," he says excitedly. "I was just ecstatic to read about something I didn’t know about like that."

Sprouse has also taken to unarchiving past social media posts in the name of pleasing his fans (and likely boredom). He’s also adding some choice new photo to his feed, and they’re pretty damn amusing.

Is Blake Shelton's New Haircut an Homage to Joe Exotic?

Blake Shelton is offering up an update to anyone following his hair evolution and it looks like he and his girlfriend Gwen Stefani are just like everyone else — they watched Netflix's Tiger King over the weekend. Case in point: In Shelton's latest "quarantine mullet update," he showed off a look pulled straight from the show's lead, Joe Exotic.

Shelton's fans already know that he's going back to his '90s roots and returning to his mullet days, but Stefani's mastery of clippers offered up a new, very tiger-inspired update. Yes, she gave Shelton tiger stripes. In a tweet, Shelton says that she "decided to take it to the next level" with the new addition.

Post-buzz, Shelton and Stefani posed for a camo-festooned photo session. Shelton captioned the image, "Our first quarantine photo shoot."

Shelton's mullet is in direct reaction to the quarantine. He explained that because everything he had planned was canceled, there was no reason not to do it.

"I have an announcement. With basically EVERYTHING I had scheduled being canceled for the foreseeable further [sic] @gwenstefani and I have made a decision together. I am growing my mullet back as a symbol of hope or some shit like that.. Anyway it’s coming back! For real. Stay tuned…" he wrote.

People adds that he was thinking about bringing back the look in 2017, when he was crowned with the Sexiest Man Alive title.

"When I think of sexy, I think of my heroes and Billy Ray Cyrus was one of them," he told Ellen DeGeneres. "With this new power that has been bestowed on me, I can bring the mullet back which makes it okay for any of us to have them."

Will BTS Drop A Japanese Album In 2020? A New Single Is Coming

BTS work tirelessly for ARMYs. They’re constantly recording new music, practicing, touring, and filming content for their fans. Now — surprise, surprise — the group is set to release a new Japanese single, which might have you wondering if BTS will drop a Japanese album in 2020. Here’s what you need to know.

BTS’ will release a new song called "Stay Gold" that will actually be the theme song for the Japanese drama Rasen no Meikyū (Helical Labyrinth) in April 2020, according to Billboard Japan translated via Soompi.

BTS is pretty stoked to be a part of Rasen no Meikyū (Helical Labyrinth). They commented on the collaboration, saying, “We hope that many people will look forward to it with love and interest. Please look forward to Rasen no Meikyū (Helical Labyrinth) and ‘Stay Gold!’”

BTS also described the new track as "’a bright song with expressive lyrics that anyone can relate to. It suits the atmosphere and story of Rasen no Meikyū (Helical Labyrinth) very well, so please enjoy them together."

This song will be BTS’ second theme song in a Japanese drama since "Don’t Leave Me" was featured in Signal Long Term Unresolved Case Investigation Team, the Japanese remake of the K Drama Signal.

This is definitely exciting news, but that’s not all. “Stay Gold” is actually part of BTS’s new Japanese album that set to drop this summer. The album will be the group’s fourth Japanese release since 2019’s “Lights/Boy With Luv."

ARMYs are over the moon about the thought of a new album, let alone a new single.

"Omg yes a Japanese album, you know it’s about to go down, it will be amazing as always," wrote another.

"Let’s make #BTS’s upcoming Japanese Album reach #1 on BB200 It would be their 1st for a Japanese Album," followed another.

If "Stay Gold" and their last Japanese single "Lights" are indicative of the vibe of BTS’ fourth Japanese album, ARMYs can expect something bold, bright, and colorful to listen to this summer.

Until then, mark your calendars for the release date of "Stay Gold" and Rasen no Meikyū (Helical Labyrinth) premiering April 24 on TV Tokyo.

Ariana Grande has been isolating with her new boyfriend Dalton Gomez

I can’t imagine trying to start a relationship or “get serious” with someone during the pandemic. But that’s what Ariana Grande is doing. Apparently, Ari has been lowkey dating a dude named Dalton Gomez for several months. TMZ had photos of them making out at a restaurant about a month ago. He’s a “high end real estate agent” in LA. He looks like he’s about 21 years old. He also looks like a glossier version of Pete Davidson:

— Page Six (@PageSix) March 25, 2020

Ariana has a type, right? She definitely has a physical type. Sometimes, it can’t be helped. Anyway, they’re so serious about each other that they’re quarantining together. THAT IS SERIOUS.

Ariana Grande is “into” someone new. The pop star has been privately dating Los Angeles real estate agent Dalton Gomez for about two months, a source tells PEOPLE. A Southern California native, Gomez works as the buyer’s agent for the luxury real estate company Aaron Kirkman Group, closing high-profile deals with A-list clients. Gomez is believed to be the mystery man Grande, 26, was spotted kissing in a Northridge, California, bar in February; TMZ reported on the outing at the time and was the first to confirm Gomez as Grande’s new man.

A second insider tells PEOPLE the two are currently quarantining together at the singer’s Los Angeles home.

“Ariana is staying at home with friends. She is very serious about self distancing and has been with the same group of people for days,” the source says. “One of the people she is with right now is Dalton — they have been hanging out for a couple of months. Ariana doesn’t want to do another public relationship so she is trying to keep this one quiet, but she seems very happy with Dalton.”

This is Grande’s first public romance since she ended her engagement to Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson in 2018, as the source says she was “single for more than a year.” Despite reports that Grande dated her “Boyfriend” collaborator Mikey Foster of pop duo Social House, the source adds that “she and Mikey never dated.”

[From People]

“She is very serious about self distancing and has been with the same group of people for days…” DAYS? Weeks, surely? Ariana was one of the first celebrities to come out and tell her fans to stay the f–k home and self-isolate. She took it seriously very quickly. Or did she? I guess it’s a good thing that we haven’t seen photos of her out and about in LA. But it’s probably a bad time to have a (small) house party??

i miss making things can’t wait to get back to work but for now let’s stay inside pls

Queen Elizabeth Offered a Rare Glimpse Into Her Windsor Home

Amid concerns over the coronavirus, Queen Elizabeth has officially left Buckingham Palace for Windsor Castle — and has now given us a rare glimpse into her private residence at the Castle.

On Wednesday, the royal family's official Instagram account shared a photo of the Queen at Windsor having her weekly meeting with Prime Minister Boris Johnson (remotely, of course). The photo offered a small peek at what the Queen's private Windsor residence looks like — and it includes a fair amount of corgis.

Note the corgi figurine in the top left hand corner, followed by tiers of smaller corgis below it. We can also surmise from this that the Queen is still using landlines, as expected for someone we tend to associate with tradition (though a recent report said she's been learning to use FaceTime and Skype for remote meetings). Also of note? The horse racing trophies on the fireplace mantle, and the classy lampshade in the background.

If only one of her actual dogs was in the photo's background, given that she was photographed with at least one of them while leaving London.

Queen leaves London

Earlier this week, it was reported that Prince Charles tested positive for the coronavirus, though he's currently far away from the Queen in Scotland, while Prince William and Kate Middleton are reportedly at their Norfolk home with their children and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are in Canada with son Archie.

Clarence House said that Prince Charles is displaying mild symptoms, but is otherwise in good health.

Queen Elizabeth is also set to make a rare public address in the coming weeks about the coronavirus, with a royal aide telling the Times of London, "The value of an address by the Queen is that it is so rare — it’s a case of when is the optimum time to do it. The Queen wants to get it right."
