'Allo 'Allo star Robin Parkinson has died at the age of 92 by his wife's side.
The comedy actor, who was best known for playing Monsieur Ernest Leclerc in the sitcom, had an impressive career that spanned decades.
A statement issued on behalf of his family said: "Robin Parkinson, actor, known for 'Allo 'Allo and as the voice of Button Moon, has died peacefully at the age of 92 with his wife and daughters by his side."
Robin was a regular on screens throughout the 70s and 80s and thanks to his distinguished career, was regarded by many as TV royalty.
His four-decade long career in television included series such as Girls About Town, The Many Wives Of Patrick, The Young Ones and Rising Damp.
