Sam Smith Postpones, Renames Upcoming Album

Sam Smith has postponed the released date and changed the title of their upcoming album.

“Firstly I want to send love and strength to everyone who has been affected by this situation,” Smith said in a note on Instagram. “I hope you are all alright during this incredibly weird, upsetting and unprecedented time.”

“I have done a lot of thinking the last few weeks and feel that the title of my album and imminent release doesn’t feel right,” Smith wrote in a statement. “So I have come to the decision to continue working on the album and make some important changes and additions.”

Smith did not reveal the new release date of the album. Smith added, “I am still going to bring out some new music over the next few months.”

Smith’s third album, originally called To Die For, was scheduled to drop on May 1. The album includes “Dancing With a Stranger,” “How Do you Sleep?,” “To Die For,” “I Feel Love,” “Promises,” and “Fire on Fire.”
