Roman Kemp career news after fears he wont work much longer due to diagnosis
Roman Kemp asks people ‘How are you really?’
Roman Kemp will be back presenting BBC’s The Finish Line alongside Sarah Green, despite the star’s concerns that his health issue could potentially prevent him from working.
The Capital FM Breakfast Show presenter, 30, is an advocate for men’s mental health, but recently opened up about another serious health condition he is battling.
Speaking to MailOnline, he admitted that he has been diagnosed with sleep apnoea.
Accroding to sleep experts, shift work can aggravate an existing sleep apnea condition – which Roman has been suffering from.
He fears that “he won’t be in showbiz for much longer” as it affects him daily.

Looking back, he said he knew his tiredness was not just caused by his hectic work schedule and that there was a serious problem.
He said: “My tiredness levels were debilitating, and they said to me it was because of my job and I said this is different”.
“I was talking with people where I thought I was verging on narcolepsy because I was mid-conversation and would be snoring and not realising, it was very strange.”
The pressure of his work commitments combined with his sleep apnoea have left the radio host concerned for his future.

Despite growing concerns for his health, he has admitted that he intends to continue in showbiz for as long as he can.
Referring to his breakfast show on Capital FM, which requires early morning wake up calls, he added: “I want a decade on air at least.”
It has been revealed that after the show’s first season of success, Roman will be back on our screens for series two of The Finish Line.
Set to film in Belfast in 2024, BBC One has announced its return.
The show will see contestants compete in quiz-fuelled races across a unique racetrack set.
The key to success is knowledge – the more they know, the further they will go.
Contestants will battle head-to-head in a series of races in a bid to qualify for the chance to win a cash prize.
The aim of the game is simple – to win, they must make it to the finish line before their rivals.
Speaking with the BBC about his role on the show, Roman said: “The first series was so much fun; I had such a laugh filming, and we had some great contestants.
“There were some shocking answers, but that’s what happens when your adrenaline is pumping and you’re under a time pressure.”
“I’m so excited to be hosting again and returning to Northern Ireland.”
“I love that it’s done so well with the audience, it’s challenging and unpredictable; we know that viewers will be hooked once again!”.
