Rod Stewart’s wife Penny Lancaster talks family’s ‘blessing’ during ‘distressing times’
Sir Rod Stewart’s wife Penny Lancaster opened up about life in quarantine online last night.
The couple, who share two children – Alastair, 14, and Aiden, nine – are currently self-isolating with their sons and Rod’s older children Ruby and Sean – from his previous relationships with Alana Stewart and Kelly Emberg – in America.
Model Penny has been documenting “these distressing times” on social media, as the coronavirus pandemic forces people around the world to stay home to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Last night, the 49-year-old Loose Women panelist posted a picture on Instagram to give her 98,200 followers an update.
The photograph captured two people playing a game of cards on the floor as she reflected on her blessings and quiet time with her family.
Penny captioned the image: “Learning new card games and spending quality time with family has been a blessing during these distressing times.”
She signed off with the hashtags: “#family #quietime #reflection.”
Commenting on the sweet snap, one Instagram user said: “So nice… my family too. Cards, games and puzzles!”
Another added: “You can’t beat it one of the positives from all this. Stay healthy.”
A third remarked: “You are very lucky and blessed to have your family with you, my daughter is 14 hours from and I miss her very much. Enjoy your family! Be safe.”
Earlier in the week, Penny revealed that Rod’s daughter was teaching her son Aiden to play an instrument while in this unprecedented lockdown.

Alongside a snap, which showed 32-year-old with Penny’s youngest son, the TV star wrote: “Big sister Ruby teaching our little one #teachers #music #guitar.”
One fan commented: “Like father, like son.”
The family are safely staying at their luxury home and following the recommended precautions, as Rod, who turned 75 in January, is considered at higher risk of suffering complications with the virus due to his age.
At the start of the month, the rock star was forced to cancel several Las Vegas gigs due to the outbreak of the virus.
