Katya Jones: Strictly star posts topless snap as she self isolates at home
Strictly Come Dancing star Katya Jones regularly documents her life on social media and being stuck at home in isolation has not changed that.
The 30-year-old professional dancer has been sharing tips to keep busy and stay positive with her 163,000 followers on her Instagram Stories in this unprecedented lockdown.
However, yesterday she discovered a drawback to one of her suggestions.
As well as live streaming online chats with her previous Strictly partners, Katya has been making the most of the sunshine by spending lots of time outside in her garden.
One of her self-isolation suggestions included reading outdoors in the fresh air where possible.
A day later, Katya posted a topless snap to reveal the drawbacks of doing this in a sunny spot.
With her long dark tresses flowing down her back, the braless star could be seen with prominent tan lines on her back.
In the picture, the Latin and ballroom dancer, who joined the cast of the BBC show back in 2016, stripped off to snap a topless selfie in a bathroom mirror.
She captioned the image: “Reading in the garden doesn’t get you smarter, it gives you tan lines!!!!”
Earlier in the evening, Katya chatted to her most recent Strictly dancer partner Mike Bushell online.
She told the 54-year-old BBC Breakfast star about her unsightly tan as he sat in his own sunny garden.
The Strictly pro, who has been confirmed to return the ballroom floor for the 2020 series, said: “The weather is that nice, I have tan lines.”
She continued: “Criss cross. It’s awful. I have proper tan lines.”

During her time in isolation, Katya also caught up with actor Joe McFdden, who she won the competition with in 2017.
She also said that some of her fellow dancers had been helping her to “digest” come to terms with the coronavirus situation.
Speaking directly to her followers, Katya said: “I must admit that digesting this whole information and situation anc coming to terms with it and finding balance and peace of mind with it has not been the easiest.
She went on to say: “But thanks to all of my friends Oti [Mabuse], Janette [Manrara], Joanne and Sasha, I’ve been joining their live streams…the wonderful things they’re doing has given me motivation!”
