Holly Willoughby asks husband for ‘guidance’ over Phillip Schofield ‘fallout’
Holly Willoughby, 42, is apparently asking her husband Dan Baldwin, 48, for guidance about her future on This Morning.
It comes after reports of a growing divide between herself and on-screen partner Phillip Schofield, 61, who are apparently “not as close” as they used to be.
The pair, who are known as ITV’s dynamic presenting duo, are well-known for their excellent on-screen chemistry, but it seems “things have cooled” between them behind the scenes.
A source told Dan Wootton: “The fallout with Phillip has been going on for quite some time. “For Holly there’s also a degree of her becoming concerned that some of the scandals connected to Phillip are damaging her reputation.
In a report published by Mail Online, the source continued: “There’s an understandable element of, ‘I’ve got to think about my career, too’.
“She’s been seeking guidance from (her husband) Dan (Baldwin) and ITV on that front. This hasn’t been about the last few weeks, but a number of months.
“She has always been loyal to Phillip and loved working with him. But she’s also worked so hard to build her own reputation, so she can’t risk Phillip dragging her down.”
Express.co.uk has contacted Holly’s representatives for comment.
In a new report published by the Sun, it has been claimed that Holly and Phillip have grown apart after months of their partnership being under strain from various external forces.

It has also been said that, for the first time, Holly has made it clear “she’d want to stay” if Phillip were to leave the show.
A source told the paper: “Holly adores This Morning and for the first time in 14 years she has made it clear that should Phil ever leave she would want to stay. They are separate entities.
“To those around them on set, it has become clear recently that Holly and Phil are not as close as they once were.
“Professionally you would have no idea there was anything going on because on camera they are acting exactly the same.
“But behind the scenes their relationship has cooled,” the source continued. “Before there would be a lot of banter and camaraderie off camera but that has dwindled.”
The source continued: “Holly and Phil have gone through rough patches before like any professional pairing who have worked together for over a decade,” the source claimed.
“Before they have always seemed to move on, but this time it seems different.”
The source also suggested that Holly’s “bosses at ITV know she would wish to stay if Phil ever did choose to move on” and that she has “made her position clear”.
