Lockdown measures around the world are slowly being eased, with the UK seeing smaller rises in the coronavirus death toll compared to just a few weeks ago.
Restaurants and fast food outlets are now slowly opening their doors – McDonald’s and Nando’s recently announced plans to get branches back to normal.
As airlines move closer to more daily flights, we’ll finally be seeing some of our favourite famous faces out and about again.
And a string of celebrities from Hollywood and beyond have spilled the beans to Metro.co.uk about what they have planned to eat, where they want to jet off to, and who they want to hug when isolation is eventually a thing of the past.
While some of them have set their sights on jetting to the nearest beach, others are simply craving a Big Mac.

I will go round to my mum and dad’s, definitely. Go see them, and spend a lot of time there. I haven’t been able to see my mum and dad as much because of social distancing and stuff, and my mum gets really upset… So I’d be around there. [She’s the first person I’d hug] Yeah, 100%.
There’s so many places I want to visit. I’m dying to go to Australia, just everywhere really. Australia is at the top of the list. I’d go skydiving.
First restaurant meal?
Probably a parmo. It’s a meal in Middlesborough, it’s like breaded chicken with a béchamel sauce and cheese. It’s a proper northern thing. I’m eating healthy and training loads, so probably a parmo.
I think I’ll go on a nice holiday with the kids. When I say holiday, it doesn’t have to be out of the country, just to take the kids somewhere.
My poor children have been inside for a month. They’ve not walked outside apart from one walk, so it’s more for them. I’ve found [lockdown] okay.
Bollywood legend Karisma Kapoor
Probably my mum, yes.
Actually, before a holiday, I would like to see my parents. I’ve not seen my parents or my sister or anyone. We’ve really been at home, abiding by rules and we’ve not seen our families. Before any trip I would really like to meet my family, and maybe after that I’d come to the UK and come to London.

My mum. I haven’t seen her for… This year, obviously I had six weeks in the villa. I could count on one hand the amount of times I saw her outside the villa, being so busy here and there. And then it was lockdown so I haven’t seen her a lot this year, so it will definitely be my mum.
Me and Paige [Turley] wanted to go to Dubai after the villa. We wanted to get back, sort a few things out and head up to Dubai. But obviously that got pushed back a little bit, so I think that’ll be somewhere that we want to go. My family are also going on holiday and we’ve got an invite to that, so that might be something we tag along to as well.
I think it’s gonna be something in London, something nice, make up for all the meals… I think Paige is sick of my cooking now so I better treat her to a nice meal.
Star Wars’ Andy Serkis
That’s a tough one really. I mean, we’ll have so many close friends that [we’re] desperate to see and I think to pick one of them out would be… trouble, put it that way!
I’m a climber and a mountaineer, and to be able to go back to the Alps and do some walking and climbing… Or even last year we were in Himalayas, I’d love to go back there, too.
It’s actually a local pub which serves incredibly good food. I can’t actually say the name, because I don’t want to give away my location! A local pub in North London, it’s a routine, and it’s a go-to place for myself and my wife Lorraine.
Star Trek’s William Shatner
I have 15 members of my family in Los Angeles, I’m lucky enough to have three daughters and they have children, and so every Sunday most of us meet to eat to have a meal. Of course we can’t do that so we meet every Sunday on Zoom which is fun. But I’m looking forward to interacting with my family.

Paige [Turley], I hope! I’m going to make it happen.
Maybe Marbella, just because it’s… I do wanna go to Dubai but it’s long haul, Marbella is a short trip over the water. That’ll probably be my first holiday. The first place I’ll go after this will probably be Ireland, just because I wanted to go over there as soon as I came out of the villa anyway.
That’s where my family are, well some of my dad’s family. My dad’s grave is there so I just wanted to go there when Love Island was over and try and recollect myself, and I’ve not been able to do that yet. I don’t really class Ireland as a holiday but that’ll probably be the first place I go to once lockdown is over.
McDonald’s! I’ve never wanted a double cheeseburger and a milkshake so much in my whole life! I can’t wait!
I think the first thing I’ll do is probably go on holiday, honestly. I want to book my ticket to Dubai with my family. I just want to be on a beach for a whole week and enjoy good food, and just interact with humans. I really miss humans! I will go on holiday and really appreciate little things in life now.
Hollyoaks’ Jessica Fox
My mum! I haven’t seen her, and I really, really want to!
I was supposed to go to Thailand on the second week of lockdown, which was rubbish. But it is what it is. Hopefully we’ll try and get away later in the year but we’ll have to wait and see, really.
I don’t really want to go to a restaurant! There’s a place in Liverpool called Wreckfish… It’s fantastic, they do this shin of beef that blows my mind a little bit, so I’d go there.
Love Island’s Jack Fowler
I haven’t seen my nan… I’ve seen her but through a window. So I’ll definitely go and see my nan.
I love Thailand. The thing is, I just need to touch Ibiza. I need to feel the heat slap my face as I get off the plane, knowing I can smell Ocean Beach as I do that. I want to be able to feel Ibiza again before summer’s over. I just want to go to Ibiza and then somewhere else.
Ah McDonald’s, it’s got to be! I do want a McDonald’s. The first place I’ll probably take Joanne is Amazonica. It’s a South American cuisine restaurant next to Sexy Fish. It’s so nice in there, it’s unreal. I might go to McDonald’s for breakfast and end in Amazonica for dinner.
Rapper Lady Leshurr
I think I might have to go and visit my family because I never got to see my mum on Mother’s Day. I love seeing my mum on Mother’s Day to spoil her. So I’m re-doing Mother’s Day, I’m gonna go and see my sister’s kids, and then go and see my friends. But it’s got to be the family the first.
I was meant to go to Bali. That was just to get away on my own to find myself. I feel like it would be such a peaceful place.
My meal would be a big lobster. I always get the biggest one there. Steamed with fries, salad…I was gonna say my favourite lobster martini but by then I won’t be drinking. So I’ll have a fresh glass of sparkling water.
Love Island’s Jess Gale
Obviously, it’d be great to see Chad. Also like my like best, best friends. As soon as I got out of the villa, I was so busy so I didn’t really get a chance to see them. And then lockdown happened, so I haven’t seen them since like January, and I can’t even believe it’s been that long. I can’t wait to see them.
I definitely do want to go on many holidays after this is over, I want to go out. It’s our 21st birthday in May, we wanted to go away for that. We wanted to be in like Ibiza or Dubai for our 21st, but obviously I spent it at home, which is not really what I had planned. So I think we’ll probably do belated celebrations for that and go on holiday somewhere nice, but I haven’t booked anything yet.
I don’t know whether there’ll be open for a while, but a restaurant kind of club setting, maybe Monkey House or STK in London, just because I want to be out and about. We knew, or we heard rumours, that McDonalds was shutting so we like quickly got our last one in before it all shut!
Years and Years’ Olly Alexander
I really would love to just go to a beautiful weird house, just even in the countryside in the UK, with all of my friends. We’ve all been talking to each other and saying as soon as we can, we’re going to do that. That’s what I’m looking forward to. I’m a Londoner, I don’t have a garden so I’m really craving outside. And I really want to go to a spa.
Dragon’s Den‘s Sara Davies
My mum. I think you’re probably getting that answer a lot. I would say my mum, because I wouldn’t usually go long periods without seeing my mum, she only lives 20 minutes away. So, I would ordinarily see her every week. It’s because I’m so worried about her, because she’s just a woman on the edge, as I imagine a lot of grandparents are, because she’s not seeing the grandkids, and FaceTime really isn’t cutting it.
So now I’m having to deal with my mum who is trying to put on a brave face when we FaceTime with the kids, and then I’m having to FaceTime her back later because she’s sobbing her heart out. I’m so worried about her. She’s the one I want to hug, because I feel like she needs the support.
I think it’s got to be the local pub in our village. They do wonderful food, but it’s that ambiance, I’ve really missed seeing my neighbours. It’s funny because you would see the neighbours in the pub on a night, but then I wouldn’t see them other than that, whereas now I’m passing them when we go out for a walk with his family on an evening. And I pass a load of the neighbours whereas I wouldn’t have done before. So definitely the pub in our village.
I work in Tampa, Florida, and I go over there every month for work and people always say to me, “Why don’t you take the kids and go over to Disneyland?” And I’m like, “Well, because we’re working, so I go over to work”. And I had a really big TV show that I was doing on the Tuesday after Easter weekend, the kids are off school. I had arranged that I was taking the whole family with me, and I was going to go and do my show, and then we were going to go and have four days at Disneyland.
Of course, that’s the time when lockdown happened! For years I’ve been promising them that one day, when it’s the school holidays and Mummy has a TV show in America, we’ll take them to Disneyland. With what happened, they’re devastated. I will definitely be taking the kids to Disney.
