Mum uses £15 sticky back plastic from eBay to spruce up tired old doors – and the result is amazing
A MUM has revealed how she spruced up her tired old doors with sticky back plastic – and they look completely different.
Taking to the Facebook group Extreme Couponing & Bargains UK, she shared dramatic before and after photos of the transformation.
Before the makeover, the doors were seriously lacklustre and the mum was keen to replace them but needed a cheaper alternative.
But after using £15 oak effect vinyl wrap from eBay and handles from the Range, the doors look brand new.
Captioning her snap, she wrote: “A much cheaper option than replacing interior doors. Used dc-fix sticky back plastic (from eBay) and door handles (from the Range).
“Worked out at £20 a door.”
She finished the corridor with flooring from B&Q, a new runner from Dunelm and a side table that she picked up at Home Sense.
Her post has since gone viral amassing over 3,000 likes and hundreds of comments from fellow group members praising her handiwork.
One wrote: “Wow what a difference looks lovely.”
“Wow what a good idea looks amazing” agreed another, with a third writing, “Omg, love it!”
